Are we watching a 'color revolution' in progress in the USA?
A “color revolution” refers to a type of political movement, typically nonviolent or low-level violent, that leads to regime change or significant political reform. It is essentially a political protest movement, often adopting a color or symbol, aimed at achieving nonviolent regime change, usually under the banner of democracy promotion but often entangled in geopolitical tensions.
Critics (especially from countries like Russia or China) argue that color revolutions are often externally orchestrated to undermine sovereign governments that are unfriendly to Western interests. Supporters view them as legitimate uprisings by people seeking freedom and democratic reform.
"A color revolution does not require tanks in the street. It requires only the sustained and coordinated manipulation of legal norms, public narratives, and institutional power."
"the removal of Trump was not a neutral consequence of democratic process. It was an objective pursued through an integrated campaign of lawfare, narrative control, protest pressure, and elite coordination. In other words, a color revolution."
"The color revolution model may be legal. It may even be nonviolent. But it is not democratic in any meaningful sense. It is a controlled demolition of consent, orchestrated by elites who claim to speak for the people while bypassing their will."
