This recent Oregon law was not intended for removing those who failed to do their job for 10 days missed while the legislature is in session, but as is intended as a political tool to nullify the walkouts method long used in legislatures. We could even say it was snuck in under false pretenses by Democrats who knew they would be able to remove Republicans by preventing them from running for office again simpley because they used a normal political method. May the tables turn soon.

Their walkout delayed voting because it resulted in a lack of quorum, or the minimum number of senators needed to be present to hold a vote."
